Over the weekend, I had the chance to get a few of my favorite desserts and enjoy beautiful weather outdoors. While tasting a decadent macaron and reading my fave magazines, I couldn't help but realize that I have been neglecting myself. You know, once you get to that ripe ol' age of "30", ugh - I can't believe I even typed the number - there are so many extras that you have to take into account.
So, without pause, I made an agreement with myself; to take time for me, to enjoy life, to take care of myself and put as much time, money and effort into me as I do into anything else, to get rid of toxins, to always stop and smell the macarons!

Any Suggestions?
This sounds so incredibly selfish! I don't think we were created to indulge in ourselves. You asked for suggestions, I suggest instead of putting "as much time, money and effort into me as I do into anything else", that you put all that time, money and effort into giving to and loving on others! You will find such joy there.
ReplyDeleteContrary to what Anonymous posted, in order to be able to bring joy into others lives, we must first make sure that "me" is properly cared for. If "Me" is happy, then "me" will be better fit to care for the needs of others. It's not selfish. If we don't take proper care of ourselves, no one else will. Hope you had a great weekend!
