The At-Home Pedicure Guide 2010

So, after posting the Spa giveaway and reading your wonderful comments, I thought I would share with you a few tricks that I use to get my spa visit at home. While we all know that getting a pedicure is something we could do until the moon merges with the sun, it surely can get expensive. Well, at least until you win the $125 spa giveaway here!! You still have time to ENTER

I use Fresh's Brown Sugar Body Polish to start off. After you you've soaked your feet, then lather it up with this yummy goodness before using a foot buffer.

My fave buffer is the Soap & Glory utterly fantastic foot buffer that comes with three different filing heads, including a portable file for in between the toes. Once I'm done scrubbing, "yes, really - I scrub" was my feet off.

Then, I use this awesome stuff from Bliss, its the Foot Patrol - OMG, can I say good. As you can see, they have a range of yumminess for the discerning woman who loves to feel good!

Once I get this stuff on my foot, I use the socks that comes with this package "see, its on her hand" and I sit there with my foot propped up for about 10-15 minutes. After which, I use a warmed towel and gently wipe the lotion off.

I select my favorite OPI color - depending on my mood, use a top coat and also a base coat and voila! I'm done!!! Smoochable toes...

so, what's your summertime pedi ritual?

  7. I might have to get me that sugar scrub!
I was using one that was a milk sugar scrub, worked pretty good!
Too bad it looks like a 5 year old painted my toes when I attempt too! I shake to much! hahaha

  8. Is it weird that I'm now dying for that foot buffer? My feet get so gross from wearing heels and sandals in the summer that buffing them is like a detox. (Sorry for the TMI!)

  13. I really need the brown sugar polish on my heels! I agree with Carrie-I suck at the polish part. Sat morning I tried to get a pedi at my favorite place and they were so busy I left. I went to CVS and got an ok color and then did it myself. NOT doing that again!
Love all the OPI colors :)

  18. I've never attempted a DIY mani or pedi. I have to admit that when it comes time I just head to the salon, I just don't think I'd do a very good job!

  21. Great tips and thank you for including the products you use. I'd like to include this post in my Cups of Tea tomorrow (Sunday). Such a great resource. By the way, congrats on keeping the fitness going for four days! It always amazes me how much more energy, better sleep and less moody I feel when I work out consistently. Keep up the great work!
